Houston Grocery Delivery For Busy Families

If you are anything like me, shopping for groceries can be a real hassle – especially with children in tow. Plus, they usually ask you for 987 things, and you might give in. There’s the getting the kids dressed and in the car, buckled in, taken out at the store, walking the aisles, trying to focus and get out of their quick, loading everything back onto the conveyor belt, paying, loading it back into the cart, loading it into your car, and then finally getting the groceries and the kids back into the house.

Even when I’m by myself, I ask myself, Why do I have to touch this thing four times to even get it home?

If you live closer to the core of Houston such as in the Heights, Memorial, or River Oaks, you have even more grocery and meal options than I do.

I live in the Spring, Klein, and Cypress join area that doesn’t really have a name. I’ve been eagerly watching and waiting for options to be open to me.

I’ve noticed more and more DoorDash options near me.  Have you ever just needed a Starbucks caramel macchiato to get you through the day but the hassle isn’t worth it? DoorDash it for you.

I’ve also tried Wal-Mart Grocery where you order them online and then go and pick them up. Their team loads the groceries in your car. The first time they even give you samples and coupons (which is kinda like motherhood Christmas, if you ask me.) You only have to touch the groceries once! YAAS! This service isn’t limited to groceries. You can order anything. You see all the products and prices online, and, honestly, I’ve found it’s a little bit less expensive to shop online compared to the store. Of course, part of that is because you save yourself the impulse purchases.

And, finally, Shipt.  Are you in love with H-E-B like I am? Shipt has a monthly or annual fee ranging from $14 a month to $99 annually. Shipt only works with H-E-B stores. I woke up this morning feeling kind of under the weather and really needed to figure out what the guys in my house were going to eat for dinner. I didn’t even have to get out of my sweatpants. Dinner and cold meds were delivered to me. How amazing is that?

If you haven’t considered the ease and amazingness of grocery delivery, what are you waiting for?!

Tell me your favorite grocery app in the comments.
